The 2020 Slamdance Film Festival in the US is to screen Iran short film ‘Ceremony Night’.

Behnam Abedi’s flick is picked for the “Anarchy Section” which is a subcategory of the short film category of the event.

In caseCeremony Night’ succeeds to receive best short film award from the Slamdance Fest, it will be eligible to be introduced to Oscars for an Academy Award for Best Picture.

“Anarchy games in a ceremony night,” comes as a tagline of the short film.

Pejman Yavari, Amir Ahmad Qazvini and Navid Nouri are among the cast members of the film.

The Slamdance Film Festival is a showcase for raw and innovative filmmaking. The event offers an intimate community experience in which audience members, filmmakers, festival programmers and industry professionals all mingle in the same hallways and sit side by side in screening rooms to discover the next generation of cinema talent.

The film event is scheduled to be held in the Utah state in the western United States on January 24-30, 2020.
